[Warning/Disclaimer:] Please observe that some of the material published here and some of the themes discussed are of adult nature; if this might offend you or you are below legal age in your country, please do not look within. For an inkling of what those themes might be, look at the "is Love"-generators below ;-)
[Friending policy:] This journal is currently unlocked for fic and most fannish stuff. I lock some personal stuff, but a little is left open. So if you're here for the fic, then let me just say that I'm thrilled that you are! *loves* If you would like to be friended, please comment at the 'Friends Only' entry :-) I do try to check and see if new people have friended and mostly I friend back, but I sometimes forget to check, so if you would like a friend, just write me a few words in that entry.
[Gender:] Male.
[Age:] Too old to be acting like this and too young to be acting like this. In reality it varies with the phase of the moon and the beating of butterfly wings. No matter what, I'm most certainly of age in any country on this planet. I think I even am if I were a Hobbit. In other words: don't worry, I can read the smut.
[Occupation:] Student of Musicology at graduate level with a previous BA in Musicology and History. I also take classes in Gender Studies. Working on getting into an exchange programme to get to New York University and do their musicology course focusing on women's and gender studies. Plan to use that to gather material to write my thesis on Rufus Wainwright, focusing on reception and perhaps fans.
[Job:] Student help at the City of Copenhagen, working with a project to build underground fully-automatic parking spaces. Having an engineer for a dad means that this is really fun! Yay, construction sites! Mostly I do minutes from meetings, letter writing and basic communications stuff. I am a BA in humanities, after all.
[Civil status:] Undecided, living with my partner through 6-7 years.
[Pets:] Rats! :-) Lovely, sweet rats. Right now six: Andy, Oscar, Uro, Bill, Ian and Hannibal - named for comedian Andy Kaufmann, poet Oscar Wilde and Uro means 'unrest' in Danish. We didn't name him, he's a rescue and doesn't fit the name :-) The last three are named for comedian Bill Hicks, musician and poet Ian Curtis and Hannibal with the elephants.
[Music:] Hobby and studying both. I play piano and sing - the latter particularly while biking to and from work/University/anywhere - and can do okay on a few other instruments as well.
[Current music-specific obsession:] Rufus Wainwright. It amazes me that I've listened to the same five albums almost daily for more than two years now and I'm not in the slightest bored with it. Instead I keep finding little details I missed at first, new songs to go "wow" at and it never gets to be too much. This is truly unique because I'm so horribly picky.
[Fandom:] Harry Potter. First and only, so far. I write fic when time and muses allow and try to avoid getting too OTP-obsessed. That said, my OTP is Harry/Draco and that means most of my fic features those two. I also enjoy femmeslash a lot, particularly if Ginny, Luna or Tonks are involved. I consider myself fan of other things, but to a much lesser degree, and HP is the only fandom I'm involved in.
[Current fandom-specific obsession:] (Over)thinking my own fannish activities in the frame of fanstudies. Building a new obsession with a third lovely guy.
[IJ related links:] potter_prophet - IJ-specific news-letter, which I run and co-edit with some amazing and dedicated people. daily_deviant - what happens when a bunch of writers/artists come up with the idea to feed daily R and NC-17 rated works to the world based on a questionable book called "The Encyclopeadia of Unusual Sex Practices". Go enjoy!
[Further pimpage, now with banners, cause, you know, they are great!:] Patronus is over now and I think it was a success :-) I'm leaving the banner up as a memoir and as a great big thank you to all of you who were there, were wonderful, supported us and made it a lot of fun!
Sectus is over now as well and what a blast it was! Wow. Thanks to all who were there - it was really great to see you. Fantastic :-)
